This traditional China green tea is commonly known abroad as “Pearl Tea”, deriving its name from its round, tightly rolled leaves and grayish-green color. Our offering is a special grade of Gunpowder Green tea that is comprised of tender leaves that unfold magnificently in your teapot when brewed. Its sweet fragrance and clean, fresh taste have made Gunpowder one of our most popular green tea selections.
Brewing and additional information
Our Gunpowder Green tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a boil and then allowed to cool for 1 minute (170-180° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Gunpowder Green tea should be steeped for 2-3 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!
